Textured Sampler Knee-rug by Leone of Newcastle, NSW

Many members of the Newcastle branch of the Knitters' Guild knitted this pattern at the same time. Here is Leone's. Her colour choice is exceptional and the precision of her stitches is perfect. Leone joined the blocks in a different order to the original arrangement - some at right angles to others - it really works. Leone also added 4 extra blocks incorporating some of her own stitches.

The border of garter stitch works really well with this pattern, perhaps even better than the Mossy Twist rolled edge I put on the original The Epping Textured Sampler Knee-rug.

I just love it.
