Hi Fellow Knitters,
Here is Lorraine's latest knitting creation, based on a design from Squares & Stripes Forever. It is not her first, but certainly it is her most artistic. It reminds me of the grid-based paintings of Piet Mondrian. Similar to Mondrian, Lorraine uses flat clear colours, delineating the rectangular forms with relatively thin lines. Lorraine's lines are in a very dark green (Bendigo Mallard) - Mondrian used grey, never black.

The blanket's seemingly random placement of the kaleidoscope of colours, is united by repeated bands of a lovely variegated yarn, along with the bold dark lines.

A Knitted Modern Art-work!
