Granite Ridges is a six row pattern or an eight row pattern with differing spaces between the ridges. Each ridge is created over two rows only by knitting stitches together (which decreases the number of stitches) and knitting two stitches into a single stitch (which increases the number of stitches. This is a strong horizontal stitch pattern.
