This is a digital download pattern in pdf format. It uses 12 ply yarn.
I Saw Three Ships is a very versatile pattern. The version shown in the pattern has been knitted using 12 ply yarn, but the blanket can be knitted successfully in 4 or 8 ply yarn for a smaller version, suitable for a basinette or car capsule.
The main body of the blanket is knitted in the Foaming Waves stitch. The ship motif adds to the nautical theme. Using 12 ply, the pattern is a cot sized blanket measuring 100cm x 155cm. For a single bed sized blanket, work the Foaming Waves stitch 28 times instead of 18 times.
The Sip Knit Yarn website has a video tutorial to assist knitters with this pattern.
